On December 26, 2024, National Taiwan University (NTU) held a dedication ceremony and opening tea party for the newly renovated NTU Hub & Store at the New Moon Pavilion. The event marked the grand opening of the NTU flagship store and featured the unveiling ceremony attended by NTU President Wen-Chang Chen, Executive Vice President Shih-Torng Ding, together with key department heads, faculty, staff, and students. A special guest, Mr. Akihiro Monden, Chairman of Liberty Stationery Corporation, who generously supported the renovation project, was invited to join the ceremony and celebrate the completion of this new project, bringing renewed energy and charm to the main campus.

Located near the side entrance of NTU’s Main Campus on Xinsheng South Road, the New Moon Pavilion underwent a complete renovation, generously supported by Liberty Stationery Corporation. After six months of work, the space was transformed into the NTU Hub & Store. The two-story flagship store provides a unique experience: the first floor is home to the souvenir sales center, while the second floor houses the New Moon Pavilion Café, serving NTU-inspired food and beverages. The café allows visitors to savor campus culture through their taste buds and hosts occasional “Host of New Pavilion” events, creating more value and communication opportunities.

Preserving History and Creativity: Exclusive NTU Cultural Gifts

The flagship store offers a range of items, including limited-edition NTU centennial memorabilia, campus-themed products, and apparel. The designs draw inspiration from the university’s campus environment, flora and fauna, and cultural heritage, blending historical richness with modern creativity to offer unique gift choices. In the future, the store will also host various cultural activities, including creative workshops and lectures, providing a platform for exchange centered on creativity, heritage, and innovation.

NTU President Wen-Chang Chen remarked that the opening of NTU Hub & Store is not only a new campus highlight but also is aimed to strengthen the deep connections among NTU alumni, the international community, and local neighbors, enhancing alumni engagements with their alma mater. The NTU Hub & Store is not just a souvenir shop; it is a vibrant new landmark that brings together creativity, culture, and communication. NTU warmly invites all students, faculty, alumni, and local residents to visit and experience the unique charm of NTU.
