National Taiwan University (NTU) has signed the host agreement with the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), officially confirming that NTU will host the APAIE 2028 Conference and Exhibition in Taipei. This hosting of APAIE 2028 during NTU's centennial year is especially meaningful; it will be part of the University’s celebration of her century of academic excellence, institutional achievement, and expanding global engagement.
APAIE is one of the Asia-Pacific region's leading higher education networks, convening university leaders, international educators, policymakers, and higher education professionals from around the world. Through its annual conference and exhibition, APAIE fosters international dialogue, strategic partnerships, and innovation in higher education. NTU is honored to partner with APAIE in preparing for the 2028 conference, thus to contribute to the advancement of international higher education collaboration across the region.
Hosting APAIE 2028 marks an important milestone for NTU. The University last hosted the APAIE Conference in 2011, and the 2028 conference will be the second time NTU has that honor. It will also be the third time Taiwan hosts APAIE, underscoring the country's longstanding contributions to regional and global higher education. For NTU, hosting this conference during its centennial year reflects both its enduring commitment to internationalization and its growing role in shaping the future of global higher education.
The signing of the agreement also marks a new chapter in the partnership between NTU and APAIE. With the support of Taiwan's Ministry of Education and the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET), NTU looks forward to welcoming higher education leaders and partners from across the Asia-Pacific and beyond, while showcasing Taiwan's strengths in higher education—including academic excellence, openness to international collaboration, and a vibrant research and innovation ecosystem.
